Dianne ClohessyBachelor of Science (Applied Psychology) Dianne has worked for over 20 years in health related fields, which included 15 years as a Paramedic and Paramedic Educator. It was during this time that Dianne successfully completed her studies to become a Psychologist. Dianne has extensive experience working in Employee Assistance Programs; she has worked for six years as a Staff Counsellor for Queensland Ambulance service providing counselling for staff and their families, and worked for 2 years as Team Leader for QLD Rail (QR) Employee Support Program providing counselling and psychological services for their staff. Dianne currently works part time at the Wesley Hospital Rehabilitation Centre as a Psychologist in the Chronic Pain Program providing evidence based practice for patients referred to the program. Dianne’s vast and varied work experiences have provided her with an ability to create a safe, caring and supportive environment for people she is working with and she uses a Client focussed approach encompassing Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Solution Based Therapy, Processed Orientated Therapy, Mindfulness and Psychotherapy. Dianne is passionate about ensuring clients have the necessary skills to meet life’s challenges. Her special interest is trauma, loss and grief, pain management, workplace issues; depression; anxiety and relationship issues as well as training and group work. |
