Judith has many years experience in the fields of child protection, individual counselling, parent/adolescent conflict, parenting, suicide prevention and intervention and relationship counselling.

As well as counselling Judith lectures in human services and social work with Queensland University of Technology and values her time with up and coming professionals of the future.

Judith’s practice is centred upon relationship counselling and her approach is to enhance people’s capacity to find solutions to their own problems based on a strengths and solution focused model.  She attempts to assist clients to believe in their ability to change and their inherent and unique personal gifts.  By undertaking this process clients subsequently enrich their lives through deeper examination of who they are and how they interact with their partners, families and the wider community.

Judith has kept up to date with current theories and trends by continuing to study, completing a Master of Social Work in 2000 and a Doctor of Social Science in 2007.  She has published recent journal articles in human services, social work and law journals.

Judith has a gentle, calm and respectful approach to counselling and highly values her clients’ ability to bring about change in their lives.  She is a registered member of the Australian Association of Social Workers and holds a current Certification as a Mental Health Worker.
