How does Telephone Counselling work?

Telephone counselling offers a range of services for people seeking assistance and looking for options regarding their problems.

  • First, you need to book your telephone counselling session. Register by calling the toll free number 1800 992 319 (or +61 7 3862 6328 for international clients).
  • The intake officer will ask for details about the areas you wish to discuss with a counsellor – for example, relationships, mental health etc.
  • At the time of registration you will be asked for a postal and email address so that the administration officer can forward a payment receipt and contact you if there are any changes to the booking details.

Please Note: You may remain anonymous throughout the counselling process if you prefer.

  • Once payment has been accepted we will provide you with a password for future counselling sessions and will advise availability of booking times.
  • On the day and allocated time of the counselling appointment it will be up to the you to call us to proceed with your session.
  • If and when you require a new session, the process is the same as per the first session – i.e. call administration on the toll free number, pay by credit card and book a time when the counsellor is available. This process must be repeated because for security reasons the administration does not keep or store credit card details.
  • As a matter of professional courtesy, the counsellor will discuss ending the working relationship that is established so that both parties understand why Telephone Counselling is finishing.
  • If the counsellor determines that he/she cannot assist you then alternative options will be provided and you will receive a full refund.

Note: It is expected that throughout the telephone counselling relationship, clients and counsellors will treat each other with respect and dignity and remember their Rights and Responsibilities.
